Signal Enhancement Diagnostics Limited

Project SEREN: Strategic Endometriosis Research for miRNA-Enabled Nano-diagnostics and therapeutics
Description

Our project is focused on creating a new type of blood test that can quickly and accurately diagnose endometriosis, a painful condition where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows in other parts of the body. This test will also help manage treatment and support the development of new therapies. This innovative approach will allow clinicians to tailor treatments more effectively, helping them understand the disease better and lead to improved care and new potential treatments for those affected by endometriosis.

Spryt Ltd

Project Increasing cervical screening rates, to the national average, in North Central London
Description

Asa is an AI receptionist that enables patients to book/change medical appointments via WhatsApp at any time, without requiring a new app/website. Asa provides reassurance and answers patients’ non-diagnostic questions but never offers medical advice.

Asa can send voice-notes as an appointment invitation in the patient’s preferred language, particularly benefiting those with poor-sight/literacy. Dynamic reminders and pre-appointment instructions help patients to prepare and confirm/reschedule appointments easily. Asa uses a Deep Reinforcement Learning model to predict/reduce no-shows. Asa goes beyond the traditional one-size-fits-all approach, to more effectively address health inequalities and barriers to access of care.
