Neuronostics Limited

Project Defining and validating a digital biomarker of epilepsy in children
Description

BioEP is a tool to help clinicians diagnose epilepsy. It uses data from routine EEG tests to create a computational model of the brain. Using the model, BioEP can indicate the ability of the brain to produce epileptic seizure activity and therefore indicate support for a diagnosis of epilepsy or not.

BioEP empowers clinicians with additional information and can be particularly useful when EEGs do not capture any information that is helpful in supporting a diagnosis of epilepsy. BioEP has the potential to speed up reaching an accurate diagnosis and our aim is that this will help people with suspected epilepsy.
