Our exciting new cohort of cancer innovations started their NHS Cancer Programme Innovation Open Call projects in June, supported by SBRI Healthcare, and this month patients will start having access 🩺
To date the NHS Cancer Programme Innovation Open Call has awarded £39.9m of funding to 21 projects, positively impacting 220,000 patients and helping the NHS Cancer Programme move towards its earlier diagnosis goals.
Together, the innovations are accelerating progress towards earlier diagnosis of a range of cancers including breast, oesophageal, head and neck, bowel, ovarian, skin, pancreatic, prostate, bile duct, brain cancer, and hepatocellular carcinoma, using cutting edge technologies, processes and systems.
They’re also supporting patients with a higher risk of cancer including people with Lynch Syndrome and Li Fraumeni syndrome and are feeding into national screening programmes.
